How you’ll make an impact:
As a Board Operator, Entertainment Programming, you’ll run the audio board for high profile, female-driven entertainment talk shows in our
Entertainment Programming team. You’ll collaborate with producers and talent to create live, entertaining talk content.
What you’ll do:
- Run the live audio board/console for various high-profile live and taped shows, including production elements, audio clips/drops, live callers, and other audio elements.
- Perform pre-show quality control of all studio equipment for proper functionality, reporting any anomalies or technical issues with broadcast operations team.
- Ensure that on-air product is airing in an exceptional broadcast standard.
- Work with producers, talent, and directors to enhance program content.
- Screen incoming calls and selectively choose callers to go on-air as needed.
- Assist with pre and post-show production, including editing and loading of audio clips and swiping shows for On Demand, as well as other operational functions as needed.
- Assist in training initiatives for staff that may include in-studio and remote presentations.
- Learn operation of, and troubleshooting techniques for audio board/console, Adobe suite, VSM panel, DJ equipment, codecs, Zetta operating system and other in-house technical elements.
- Provide all-around support during high-profile events and high-volume performance days.
- Work with On-Demand/Metadata team to assist with Broadview, program type ingestion, user account upkeep, archival maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience running an audio board.
- At least 2 years of experience in a professional broadcast environment(Radio/TV/Digital).
- Flexible schedule with ability to work days, nights, and weekends.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be organized, detail obsessed and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- A willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
- Previous use of broadcast operation software (Zetta, Prophet, Dalet, NexGen, etc.)
- Familiarity with digital audio editing software (OneCut, Audition, ProTools, etc)
- Experience mixing and coordinating sound elements into a professional sounding on-air product.
- Must have right to work in the U.S.
