Indian Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center is a state of the art ASC jointly owned by the University of Kansas Health System and physician investors. Indian Creek ASC has 7 operating rooms and 6 procedure rooms and provides patients with services in Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, GI and Pain.
The nurse is responsible for the safety and readiness of each patient from Pre-Op Intra-Op to PACU. The nurse must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment in a procedural unit that sees over 600 procedural patients each month.
Competing demands require someone who is able to appropriately prioritize tasks, and demonstrate attention to detail. The nurse is required to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with teammates, physicians, ancillary staff, and patients.
ICC ASC is a fast-paced, high volume outpatient surgery center that provides exceptional care to surgical and procedural patients.
Indian Creek ASC is seeking an experienced Pain Management Nurse with a diverse skill-set. The PM RN assists the physician and procedural team in multiple ways. The nurse is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of physician preference cards, preparing and maintaining supplies, preparation and use of equipment and instruments for procedures, competency in Pain Management policies and procedures, compliance with HIPAA and other assigned duties.The nurse is responsible for the safety and readiness of each patient from Pre-Op Intra-Op to PACU. The nurse must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment in a procedural unit that sees over 600 procedural patients each month.

The nurse reports to the Procedural Nurse Manager and will cross-train to other functions as needed.
Required experience/skills/education
Graduation from an accredited nursing school required
Active Kansas nursing license in good standing required
Minimum of 2 years as Pain Management Nurse preferred
