Senior Staff Accountant
Overview:

G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join its team in Apex, NC.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheet, profit & loss (P&L) statements, and cash flow reports.
- Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage AP and AR processes, ensuring efficient processing, timely payments, and collections.
- Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the general ledger.
- Margin Development: Analyse product margins and cost structures, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing insights to optimize profitability.
- KPIs & Performance Monitoring: Develop, track, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial health and performance.
- Financial Controls & Corrective Actions: Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions to improve financial operations and reporting.
- Tax Compliance & Knowledge: Work with local accountants to ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings; knowledge of tax law is a plus.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with local accountants and external auditors to ensure adherence to accounting standards and financial regulations.
- Bookkeeping Oversight: Ensure all bookkeeping activities are accurate, efficient, and completed on time, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or controlling roles, ideally within a manufacturing organization.
- Strong knowledge of AP, AR, balance sheet management, P&L, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting systems, Excel, and financial analysis tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor KPIs and drive margin improvement.
- Familiarity with local and international tax regulations is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
