Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Medical Front Desk Coordinator for our growing health care client. This role is responsible for creating a welcoming and efficient environment for patients while overseeing administrative tasks related to patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet patients and visitors, identify their needs, and direct them accordingly.
2. Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and maintain and update patient records.
3. Oversee patient admission and discharge procedures.
4. Collect patient data and ensure the accuracy of patient records.
5. Manage billing procedures, including insurance verification and payment collection.
6. Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
7. Coordinate front-desk staff to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED required. A degree in a relevant field will be considered an advantage.
2. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
3. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare operations, and EPIC healthcare software.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to remain professional and courteous at all times.
6. Ability to work well in a team and also perform efficiently under minimum supervision.
7. Comfortable handling conflict and stress in a diplomatic and composed manner.
8. Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks based on importance.
