Overview:
FedWriters is building a team to mature, operate, maintain and enhance the United States Security and Exchange Commission's (SEC) production OIT AIML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) Tech Foundation and its hosted production pilot products, implement AIML governance services, and establish model metrics evaluation and risk management frameworks.In this role you will develop and implement AI/ML governance frameworks, risk management policies, and compliance strategies while providing technical guidance to ensure responsible AI adoption across SEC's enterprise systems.

Work Schedule and Location:
Hybrid: This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with occasional onsite work in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical consultancy and risk assessment to AIML governance bodies (Steering Committee, CAIO office) regarding use case management and third-party AIML services
- Work with Security Assessment Team and TRB to implement AIML/GenAI risk management guardrails within SEC's Software Development Framework
- Establish best practices for AIML code/data versioning in Enterprise GitHub and EDW2
- Support implementation of MLflow framework for model registration, execution tracking, and monitoring
- Develop guidance for model evaluation, prompt manipulation mitigation, and performance metrics assessment
- Partner with Division and Office stakeholders to implement model risk management workflows
Qualifications:
Required:
- 12 months experience in similar role within past 3 years
- Experience providing technical consultancy for governance initiatives
- Understanding of model risk assessment
Preferred:
- Federal agency AIML experience
- SEC domain experience
