Foreclosure Paralegal (Indiana/Illinois)

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Maintain Attorney’s Calendars, by scheduling deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, etc.
2. Scheduling hearings in accordance with judicial procedures and coordinating hearings with judges, opposing counsel, client, etc.
3. Filing of court pleadings (including filing of first legal action) and service of the same via E-portal and USPS.
4. Ensure judicial deadlines and client deadlines are met.
5. Other administrative task as requested by attorneys.
6. Running and review of court dockets in all circuits throughout the State of Illinois including bankruptcy court.
7. Identifying issues in foreclosure and plan of action to resolve.
8. Draft of foreclosure pleadings, motions, affidavits, etc. including but not limited to:
9. Post Referral Solicitation Letter
10. Complaint
11. First Legal Docs (Lis Pendens, Value of Claim, Civil Cover Sheet, Summons, Etc.)
12. Drops and Defaults (Including Motion for Clerks Default and Judicial Default)
13. Affidavit of Indebtedness
14. Motion for Summary Judgment
15. Affidavit of Attorney Fees
16. Proposed Final Judgment
17. Notice of Sale
18. Certificate of Sale, Title and Disbursements
19. Motion to Reset Sale
20. Dismissals (Notice of Voluntary Dismissal and Post Judgment Dismissal)
21. Motion to Vacate Foreclosure Sale
22. Motion to Direct Clerk
23. Maintaining accurate and current information in internal case management system and providing updates to all clients via E-mail and Vendor Management Systems (LPS/Black Knight and Tempo)
24. Maintaining communication with clients, opposing counsels, judicial assistants and clerks including building & maintaining positive relations with the same.

Required Education and Experience:

1. 3 years of related experience and/or training in mortgage foreclosure litigation and other defaulted related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. MS Office Suite Knowledge a must.
3. ATO knowledge a plus.
4. Experiences with client systems such as BKFS, Tempo, LegalTracker, etc.
5. Experience with Real Estate/Foreclosure.

Compensation Range: $55,000 - $75,000
