SciTec has an immediate opportunity for an experienced DevSecOps engineer. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded, experienced engineer who works well as a part of a team, prioritizes the quality of their product, and seizes opportunities to be creative, learn and grow as a developer.

Responsibilities
  • Manage integration, scanning, hardening, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks
  • Work with deployment teams to orchestrate deployments to development, test, and operational environments
  • Create, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines in gitlab-ci
  • Compile security vulnerability reports and prepare software deliveries
  • Monitor CI pipelines for performance and resolve observed or reported issues
  • Integrate CI pipelines with development tools for artifact management, software test, software quality assessments, etc.
  • Execute checkout and troubleshooting of deployed applications within development and production environments
  • Execute software release processes including release branch creation, integration, checkout, and test
  • Implement and maintain helm charts
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • At least three years professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), such as GitLab-ci or Jenkins
  • At least three years professional experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test, and production
  • Experience with software supply chain security
  • At least one year professional experience using Linux operating systems
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred
  • Strong experience with software vulnerability scanning with static and dynamic code analysis
  • Strong experience with package artifact management using JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or similar
  • Experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience with software vulnerability remediation
  • Development experience in Python, C++, or JavaScript
  • Experience with version control using Git
  • Systems and service administration in a linux environment, including the installation and maintenance of applications supporting CI/CD like GitLab, Jenkins, etc.
  • Security+ Certification

The pay range for this position is $96,000 - $168,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
