Position Overview:

Our Department Managers take the lead as the Hardscapes expert in the branch, working closely with customers on any or all needs within the department to ensure excellence.

What you’ll do:

Assist Branch Manager with the sales and operations planning process, statistical demand forecasting, and integration of supply and demand plans.
Promote an incident-free environment by emphasizing safety daily through leading by example.
Encourage a strong safety culture through workplace organization, training and executing policies.
Understand and execute the principles of inventory management, target customer mix and sales.
Create a positive environment for employees which encourages teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNA.
Train and develop agronomic staff to be knowledgeable of the Hardscape product line and customer needs to support achievement of departmental sales goals.
Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
Support other branch departments and customers as needed.

Work schedule:

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm year round
Rotating Saturdays from 7:30am-12:00pm March-May and September-October

Skills We Are Seeking::

1-3 years of experience in the green industry and an understanding of hardscape products and hardscaping practices OR a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Excellent customer service and leadership skills
Basic mathematical aptitude
Readiness and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)

What will make you stand out:

Sales experience in an industry similar to ours (wholesale landscape supply, lawn maintenance, pest control, wholesale building materials, etc.) and/or knowledge of market preferences, competition, regulations and trends
Experience operating equipment such as forklift, skid steer, and/or loader
ICPI (Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute) certification
Bilingual proficiency (conversational abilities) in both English and Spanish
2- or 4- year Degree in Business Management, Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, or related studies
