Job Description
  • Manage daily production activities, ensuring adherence to lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead a team in a high-mix, low-volume production environment, optimizing workflow efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies, reducing waste and increasing productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, supply chain, and quality control, to streamline operations.
  • Oversee capacity planning, scheduling, and workforce management.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

The Successful Applicant
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing leadership role within the aerospace, defense, or precision machining sector.
  • Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong background in CNC machining, assembly, or electro-mechanical manufacturing.
  • Experience managing teams in a union or non-union environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive team performance.
