Summary of Job Description:- Responsible for all import operations, spot rate negotiations, forwarding consolidations, documentation, pre-alerts, tracing, and customer service quotes.
- Ocean traffic moving from overseas partners and customers.
- Open files for each shipment under Stevens Global Logistics, Inc. system.
- Ensure service commitments are achieved and maintained in accordance with client and company objectives.
General areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Ø Handle all customer service contacts received by phone or e-mail with high accuracy.
Ø Ensure operational excellence and high productivity.Ø Research and route shipments based on company and customer requirements.
Ø Ensure highest level of data quality by processing the shipment accurately.
Ø Review and resolve any discrepancy found in the freight instructions/documents.
Ø Assure that files contain necessary document copies based on company procedures.
Ø Audit and approve freight bills.
Ø Filing and folder management – ensure all files are store in the appropriate file cabinets.
