Overview:
Equipment Sales Representative (ESR) is the direct & primary interface between the customer & the company. ESR utilizes individual technical, communication, industry, and product knowledge skills to advise customers when making business & equipment decisions using a consultative sales approach.ESR prepares & presents accurate sales quotations & specifications for equipment orders, relays information to customers, & handles customer inquiries. ESR works with CAD department, project management, service, and installation team members to ensure the client’s needs are met.
The candidate will be required to show a strong aptitude for Salesforce CRM data entry and consistent CRM management. ESR primary responsibility will be working with the Sales Managers on driving profitable sales in an assigned territory and specific accounts.
This position requires sales experience of 2-5 years in a business to business environment. Experience in conveyorized car wash, machinery, or construction is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Sonny’s complete line of car wash solutions, specifically: Equipment, Backroom, Water Systems, Vacuums, Controls, Signage, as well as our other competitive product offerings.
- SCWS sales process utilizing CRM to track projects and to provide regular, consistent, & accurate sales forecasting.
- Processes for site & equipment drawings. Analyzing & assisting with site layout & equipment choices & coordination with CAD department.
- Interfacing with customer & customer’s design & construction professionals to coordinate the delivery of completed project drawings.
- Creating accurate & timely quotes and submitting equipment orders to Regional Sales Manager (RSM) utilizing the team in place for your region.
- Working with customer, contractors, & installation team to determine & submit for accurate delivery dates.
- Requesting & receiving payments according to payment schedule.
- Proper expectation setting for timelines, costs, etc., with both customers & team members.
- Travel to customer sites and trade shows as required.
- Ability to assess a site and give recommendation feedback.
- Following internal processes, policies, and procedures.
- Participating in regional & national trade shows.
- Providing quotation(s) for ESM (and then directly to customers) by preparing accurate pricing for a project after reading/reviewing specifications and gathering correct documents. Responsible for creation and accuracy of project quotations.
- Managing projects from start to finish, from time of conception thru delivery. Communicates with customers regarding pricing, scheduling shipments, and all other details related to quotations and order processing, such as pre-shipment paperwork, order changes, payments, and shipments. Verify appropriate changes are made to resolve customers' requests in a timely manner. Communicate timelines and changes clearly to customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
- 2+ years of successful technical service, engineering or field sales support experience, or 2+ years of outside sales of capital equipment or business to business value-add sales experience.
- High computer application literacy including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn internal business systems.
- Industry related experience preferred.
- Familiar with Salesforce CRM preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Ability to guide, direct and provide technical expertise on products (or services) to colleagues and customers.
- Previous business to business value-add sales experience
- Proven track record of consistently exceeding and/or achieving goals.
- History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation.
- Prior experience that required excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to use strong judgement with knowledge of company policies and procedures to resolve non-standard problems.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.
- Up to 30% travel required to support sales territory
