Successful, supplier located in the Chester County, PA area is looking to staff an Accounting Manager with strong sales & use tax expertise. In this role, you will manage a team of finance associates, oversee internal controls, manage accounting functions such as: accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, revenue recognition, capital spending, and the collections process.
This candidate will be responsible for preparing annual budgets, monitoring daily cash flow, processing and coding vendor invoices, managing the month end close process, performing general ledger analysis, and completing account reconciliations.

We are looking for an Accounting Manager with a solid financial analysis skillset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong understanding of GAAP standards, and the capacity to multi-task while meeting crucial deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the company's accounting functions, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately, timely, and in accordance with GAAP
- Manage a team of direct reports, providing leadership and accounting expertise
- Establish strong relationships with inter-departmental peers, serving as the “go-to” accounting source in the company
- Understand and monitor key internal controls, policies, and procedures related to transactions to enforce compliance and document business processes and procedures
- Respond to parent company inquiries, reporting, and audit requests as a priority
- Oversee a range of accounting functions including financial reporting, budgeting, intercompany accounting, and sales & use tax
- Assist in the collection of past due accounts receivable and ensure compliance with internal and external reporting guidelines
- Provide analysis to support corporate decision-making
- Work hours as required to support company objectives
The ideal Accounting Manager must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Accounting Manager role include and are not limited to:
- Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role or related field
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential
- Familiarity with BlackLine, Concur, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience in Auditing procedures and Billing Functions is necessary
- Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting, Fixed Asset Ledger, and Fixed Asset Inventory is desirable
- Expertise in Tax - Sales & Use is advantageous
- Candidates must have a high level of integrity, analytical thinking, and excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred.
