KH064 - Temporary Part-Time Chef - Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Overview:

The schedule will be 2-3 afternoons per week, most likely 10-12 hours per week. Ideal days would include Sunday and Wednesday but there is flexibility for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Cooking dinner for two adults
• Batch-cooking easy breakfasts would be appreciated (oatmeal, muesli, etc.)
• Grocery shopping including farmer's market and restocking of the pantry.
• Keeping the kitchen tidy and cleaning up before leaving. The chef will not be expected to serve the food and can leave after cleaning up.
• The chef will be expected to send the week's menu the week before so the principals can advise on any changes.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate is clean, tidy, and easy-going. The family is thoughtful and kind, so they hope to find a chef matching that energy.
• One of the principals works from home so knowing how to navigate around that is essential
• Health conscious and familiar with the Ayurvedic diet

Requirements:

• Within commuting distance from Brooklyn, this position is not open to candidates looking to relocate
• Legal to work in the US
• Familiarity with Indian cuisine and cooking

Salary and Benefits:
