Part Time Accounting Assistant

We are seeking a Part Time Accounting Assistant to join our team based in Sugar Grove, IL. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity where you will be providing essential support to our accounting department, handling a variety of financial tasks and contributing to the development of annual budgets and performance projections.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the accounting department in daily, monthly, and yearly activities, including audits, forecasts, and budgets.
• Process business transactions like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts.
• Assist with preparing basic financial reports, charts, tables, and other documents.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
• Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
• Assist accounting staff in preparing and maintaining financial records.
• Support the Payroll department by providing relevant employee information.
• Address and respond to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data.
• Conduct regular ledger maintenance.
• Handle accounting documentation in a punctual manner, showcasing strong attention to detail. • Possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting role
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with CaseWare is a necessity
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required
• Ability to perform Accounting Functions with accuracy and efficiency
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
