Day Program Supervisor

The purpose of the Program Supervisor position is to assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the studio. The Program Supervisor will maintain a caseload of artists, make connections in the community, and assist with improving the functionality of the studio.

• Teaches and promotes the RHD values along with HCBS principles and initiatives.
• Maintain a caseload of artists supported.
• Facilitate and implement the Person-Centered Planning process for each member of their caseload.
• Maintain a professional relationship and communicate with each artist’s team.
• Create and update daily progress notes for each artist on their caseload.
• Create and update Medication Administration Records for each artist on their caseload that takes medications during program hours.
• Assist with the quality assurance functions regarding maintenance of client records.
• Provide on the floor support, crisis intervention, mentoring, and project assistance as needed.
• Assume accountability for safety measures such as disaster preparedness and drills, first aid, and off-site emergency binders.
• Assist with upkeep and scheduled maintenance of program vehicles.
• Assist will procurement of billing and attendance each day.
• Assist with the organization daily and weekly studio schedule.
• Attend and participate in additional trainings as assigned by the Program Director.
• Attend and participate in outside events as needed.
• Attend and participate in weekly management meetings, staff meetings, and quarterly staff development days
• Maintain a positive, professional approach while providing support and management to artists and staff. Act as a mentor and leader to all staff.
• community outreach: Volunteer, Arts Partnerships, Non-profit and charity partnerships
• On-site Special Activities planning (holidays, guest speakers, special days)
• Daily Schedule- scheduling community outings, volunteering, etc. and taking client requests to make a schedule for each day
• Employee appreciation/ retention, ongoing professional and personal development for staff
• MISC studio areas- staff closet, sensory room, exercise lounge
• Complete other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Program Director

Minimum qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of relevant work experience; candidates with equivalent experience may also be considered.
• Valid driver’s license and car insurance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to focus and multi-task, be flexible, and maintain composure during crises.
• Ability to exercise good judgement and initiative in providing services and supports to the artists.
• Reliable and punctual.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge about and interest in creating art.
• Experience in supervising employees.
• Knowledge of resources available in the community.
• Passion for making connections in the community

• Ability to work with artists who have challenging behaviors, including assisting with de-escalation and physical restraints, if needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some night or weekend events.
• Ability to work in an open-office environment.
• Ability to administer medications, including, but not limited to blood sugar checks and insulin administration.

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
• Assist artists with hygiene needs.
• Ability to drive a 9-passenger van.
