Utilities Superintendent

Summary

This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, contractors, and field crews.

• Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring that water and sewer utility projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards
• Direct and manage the work of construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring tasks are properly delegated and executed
• Enforce safety protocols and practices in accordance with OSHA guidelines and company standards. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe work environment
• Monitor quality of work and assure that correct construction procedures are followed and that work is in compliance with the plans and specifications
• Examine/inspect field conditions and identify conditions, problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered
• Ensures compliance of production staff with all company policies and procedures, OSHA, EPA, and NCDOT guidelines
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, job progress, equipment usage, and materials. Prepare and submit progress reports as required
