New York - Accounts Receivable Specialist

This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Maintain and update customer credit records to ensure accurate information
• Handle customer inquiries pertaining to credit applications and accounts, providing prompt and effective resolutions
• Monitor customer accounts to identify outstanding debts and take necessary actions to ensure timely payments
• Review and manage a list of pre-assigned accounts with outstanding balances
• Investigate unapplied cash by collecting related backup documents with the aim of having them applied, written off, or refunded
• Follow up on deducted chargebacks and ensure there is a corresponding credit memo request in the works
• Communicate with customers and sales managers regarding past due accounts, providing all necessary details and requesting payment
• Issue manual documents such as debit memos (DM) or credit memos (CM) as necessary
• Utilize skills in Dynamics, Microsoft Excel, Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Applications, Outgoing Wire, Wire Transfer for effective task completion. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) or a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Dynamics
• Demonstrated experience with Cash Applications and Outgoing Wire
• Knowledge of Wire Transfer processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Willingness to continuously improve and streamline processes.
