Job Summary:The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing user requests for new or improved computer information systems, researching current technologies, and recommending solutions to user problems or needs. This role involves designing, developing, debugging, and installing new computer information system applications while ensuring system efficiency and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze user requests for new or improved computer information systems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Utilize Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies for system design and implementation.
- Monitor trends and developments in computer information systems technology and contribute to the development of plans, policies, and procedures.
- Design, develop, debug, and install new computer applications, including creating diagrams and flowcharts for system design.
- Modify existing software to improve operations and reduce complexity.
- Assist users with information requirements and design report formats.
- Research system capabilities and participate in the testing and debugging of programs and systems.
- Execute tests and monitor system behavior to validate performance.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions, and assist IT staff in design, testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
- Provide system and network administration, ensuring user access control and managing user accounts.
- Attend or conduct training meetings, participate in seminars, and engage in professional development.
- Perform additional duties as needed, based on supervisor instructions and department needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in fields utilizing the required knowledge and skills such as Programmer Analyst, Business Analyst, or Management Analyst.
- Experience with Client Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) toolset, including business modeling, test case creation, test plan creation, and report generation.
- Experience in uploading and creating requirements in ALM and maintaining dashboards to monitor testing results.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Combination of education (above high school level) and/or experience equivalent to 5 years in relevant positions.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of computer information systems and their applications.
- Proficient in SDLC methodologies and toolsets.
- Ability to analyze user needs and recommend solutions.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
