Accounting Clerk

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Irvine, California. This role revolves around ensuring meticulous financial record-keeping within the finance team, managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and customers.

Responsibilities:

• Handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently and accurately
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers
• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Monitor customer accounts for payment adherence and address outstanding invoices
• Manage office correspondence, including emails and memos
• Maintain filing systems for financial documents and records
• Support the finance team with additional accounting tasks as required
• Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and workflows
• Manage vendor files and ensure timely payments to suppliers
• Generate and send out invoices to customers in a timely manner • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is mandatory.
• Prior experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Knowledge of Billing processes is essential.
• Must have good Data Entry skills.
• Experience in Invoice Processing is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Familiarity with Oracle software is a plus.
• Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting purposes is essential.
• Knowledge of SAP software for business processes is desirable.
