Job Description
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the production teams to achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiencies across production, resource allocation, and workforce utilization.
  • Monitor and evaluate production KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee the scheduling, planning, and execution of production processes to meet demand and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, R&D, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to ensure cohesive operations and product integrity.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Optimize production workflows, implement best practices, and ensure equipment reliability to support high output.
  • Prepare and manage the operations budget, focusing on cost control and maximizing ROI on production investments.
  • Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and employee engagement across the operations team.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience within the food manufacturing industry, with a strong emphasis on production and maintenance.
  • Proven track record in driving operational excellence, managing production processes, and implementing lean methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations (FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP) and commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
