The Mixed Reality Core OS Software team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Software Engineer with experience in camera driver & platform development, Windows/Android/Linux OS frameworks SW design & implementation. We are the team that develop the foundational software that breathes life into our Mixed Reality hardware, enabling our AI, Runtimes, and Experience teams to collectively create delightful and engaging user experiences

Responsibilities- Design and implement system level APIs and frameworks to enable application usecases for Mixed Reality products.
- Design software to control camera ISPs and sensors.
- Help define the next generation of Mixed Reality products.
- Work in close partnership with a team of cross discipline peers including design, hardware, PM, and Quality Engineering for sustained long term success of Mixed Reality products
Qualifications
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, Java Script, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience working with Android or Linux or Windows system level frameworks and internals.
- Experience working with embedded systems.
- Writing performance critical code in C/C++.
- Experience with design, coding, and debugging.
- Customer Contract Verbiage
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. - Microsoft Cloud Screening
- Cloud Screening: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Experience with software design and development experience.
- Experience with Windows or Linux device SW driver development
- Experience with Hardware bring up and Manufacturing
- Experience with BSP and OS image creation
- Experience using Java, C#, or Kotlin
- Familiarity with CI/Automation frameworks
- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S.
- $160,200 per year.
- $174,600 per year.
