Responsibilities:

This internship will start immediately, working part-time (15-20 hours a week) during the Spring semester and is expected to continue through Summer, working full-time (35 hours a week).

What You'll Do:

As an IT Automation Intern, you will be embedded on a team within the core division that supports daily activities and provides technical support for data aggregation, reporting, and automation. Our core business is comprised of teams that manage, innovate, and support our core product and service offerings.

Working with these individuals and multiple teams, you will collaborate with leadership and other members to help automate current manual tasks, create and update automation scripts and frameworks, and support other automation professionals as needed.

Automation Tools
  • Administration and Governance
  • Conduct annual/biannual audits of user lists
  • Maintain a list of bots, scheduled run-times, and owners
  • Create requests in the ServiceNow system for production publishing (e.g., UIPath system access, shared drive access)
  • Maintain Server Requirements documentation
  • Maintain the price list for automation processes
  • Maintain documents for changes to policies, user guides, SOPs, FAQs, etc.
  • Review RPA (Robotic Process Automation) demands and projects; escalate past-due items
  • Review tasks and support tickets assigned to the RPA team; seek status updates if no activity within 1 week
Demands and Projects
  • Maintain demands, projects, tasks, and templates in the ServiceNow system
  • Maintain the opportunity list
Software Installation and Updates
  • Perform UiPath software maintenance on production servers, including checking for and installing updates, following the IT change management process
  • File Management:
  • Migrate old files from IBM Blueworks to Microsoft Teams
  • Organize and manage Microsoft Teams sites to maintain logic and file naming conventions (PDD, SDD, etc.)
Knowledge and Growth
  • Learn basic intelligent automation tasks in UIPath
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT projects
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and implement innovative solutions
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions
Collaboration Tools
  • Campaigns
  • Assist with Brainstorm software learning platform content management
  • Help with Microsoft Viva Engage content and announcements.
Microsoft 360
  • Maintain content in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Review what's new in Microsoft Teams Public Preview & Targeted Release for relevant content

Program Requirement(s):

  • Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree throughout the entirety of the internship

Qualifications:

What You'll Bring:

Education and Experience
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic knowledge of intelligent automation tools
  • Basic understanding of IT principles and practices
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and ServiceNow is a plus
Problem Solving
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Communications
  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with all levels of business unit and PNA IT Management
Other Requirements
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Hourly Range: $17-$38

The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
