About the Role:

Perform operational tasks to support and assist the Loan Department, Credit Administration and other departments in the preparation of loan documents. This position is necessary to ensure accuracy and the timely delivery of loan documents to the lender and provide expertise in loan coding and various compliance issues to meet the bank’s policy standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain effective loan verification procedures to ensure proper compliance.
  • Analysis of the lender documentation checklist to insure accuracy of fees, loan coding and exceptions according to Glacier Bank loan policy.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all facets of the bank’s documentation software and core system.
  • Upload loans to core system.
  • Insure that all compliance regulations pertaining to documentation are met within the scope of the credit.
  • Review title commitments through a comparison to loan request, ensuring the accuracy of the security documents.
  • Provide accurate and timely loan documents to lenders.
  • Monitor and obtain verification of loan approval limits/authorities for each loan.
  • Monitor flood determination information supplied by the lender and Loan Servicers to ensure appropriate documents are prepared by the loan closing date and that they meet regulatory guidelines.
  • Review the documents as each loan is processed, to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare initial CRA source document file in bank’s Shared Drive.
  • Prepare Adverse Action documents and set up the scanning file for Adverse Action as assigned.
  • Maintain effective coordination and communication with area personnel and management.
  • Timely and consistent attendance.
  • Maintain and monitor loan documentation exception file.
  • Prepare consumer loan documents on Laser Pro.
  • Completes assigned paperwork for management and Lenders. Completes records and reports promptly and accurately.
  • Supports and assists area personnel as needed.
  • Attends and participates in meetings and trainings offered by FSBW and software vendors as required.
  • Assist Customer/Lender with file maintenance, portfolio maintenance, credits/debits to all accounts/loans as needed.
  • Assist with scanning of supporting and/or loan documentation into Synergy to include quality control checklist.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Must adhere to FSBW Corporate Culture.
  • Keeps management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
  • Participate in Community Service and Bank sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of First State Bank.
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Complete required bank and OnCourse training courses within assigned time frame(s).
  • Represent FSBW in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive “can-do” attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs. Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Attends and participates in meetings as required.
  • Additional duties as requested or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High degree of attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skill(s) to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have ability to prioritize and organize heavy workload(s) and demonstrate effective time management skill(s).
  • Must have the ability to work in a professional manner and consistently demonstrate courtesy, customer service, and tact in a fast-paced/deadlines-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately: perform effectively under pressure; meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines and make decisions based on regulation(s), company policy(s), knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Basic computer skill with working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, ten-key, and general computer applications.
  • Working knowledge of standard office equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A moderate level of banking knowledge desired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be capable of occasional travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities.
