Job Description

The CT Technologist will perform the following duties:

1. Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic CT images.
2. Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality before patient studies.
3. Administer radioactive material injections following physician orders and prescribed protocols.
4. Adhere to department documentation policies, including maintaining logs, manuals, charge documents, and reporting equipment issues as required by regulatory agencies.
5. Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests while following radiation safety guidelines in compliance with the ALARA principle.
6. Maintain and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
7. Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses in advance and verify activity levels before administration.
8. Receive and verify radiopharmaceutical deliveries according to policies and procedures.

• Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols to ensure uniformity and accuracy.
• Exercise appropriate judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits.

• Licensed by NYS Department of Health as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.

• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience.
• Proficiency with Siemens 128 slice CT platform.
• Preferred but not required: familiarity with UV and Epic Radiant computer programs.

• Hours per Day: 9.5
• Days per Week: 4
• Schedule Notes:
• Sunday: 12 PM - 10 PM
• Wednesday - Friday: 12 PM - 10 PM
• Includes holidays
