Senior Powertrain Design Engineer
This position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative mindset to advance powertain system designs from concept to implementation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and optimize powertrain components and systems, focusing on efficiency, reliability, and manufacturability.
Lead the development of initial layouts and system architecture for complex powertrain systems.
Develop detailed models and assemblies using advanced CAD software.
Perform engineering analyses including thermal, structural, and fluid dynamic using simulation tools and experimental data.
Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance on design and analysis techniques.
Oversee prototype development, including coordinating with suppliers and overseeing assembly processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced powertrain systems into larger projects.
Document and present technical findings, designs, and progress to stakeholders and leadership teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Masters degree is preferred.
3+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, with a focus on powertrain system optimization.
Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering tools for modeling and simulation.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design for production.
Ability to manage multiple projects and independently solve complex problems.
Knowledge of advanced mechanical systems and technologies.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
