Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Divisional Director of Women & Children Services is responsible for the management of the Women & Children Nursing services at UCI Medical Center. The Director provides services to meet physician and HealthSystem objectives in the following areas: a) patient care, teaching and research, b) clinical resource management, and c) developing and administering an operating budget for capital, and programs.Maintains responsibility for the direction, administration, quality, coordination, and evaluation of patient care activities, and support services are efficiently performed to support patient care in each of the Cost Centers in the Division.
Maintains direct supervision of the Managers and indirect supervision of staff FTEs 7days a week, 24 hours a day.

Required Qualifications:
- Unit specific nursing certification
- Understanding of AWHONN standards
- Prior management experience in an acute care setting
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
- Demonstrated management experience in a high risk obstetrical environment
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with MS Word and MS Outlook
- Advanced certification
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- 5 years recent Perinatal experience in an acute care setting is required
Licenses and Certifications:
- RN
- NRP
- BLS
