The Bowring Marsh North American casualty team handles a broad range of primary and excess casualty placements for North American domiciled clients. Working alongside our Marsh retail colleague network, the team directly engages the market place to find innovative solutions for our clients casualty insurance needs.

Bowring, Marshs dedicated specialist international placement broker, provides clients with risk transfer solutions, benchmarking, and claims advocacy through its global insurance placement network by securing comprehensive, tailored coverage and delivering innovative solutions that help protect against potentially costly losses.Bowring Marsh work closely with clients to provide tailored international placement options that suit each business risk and exposure.

With a deep understanding of industry challenges, they innovate, customise, design, and place insurance programmes with international insurers.Located across all major international insurance hubs, the team of 300 insurance brokers combine their comprehensive portfolio experience and in-depth knowledge of our clients risks, with the ability to have face-to-face negotiations with decision makers to prioritise which insurers to approach in which international market hub.

What can you expect:

Placement of and client management of Marshs largest most complex US Casualty programs into the London and Dublin Market.

Responsible for new business production from US network for the US and Rest of the World placement teams

Opportunity for international travel to clients in North America.

We will rely on you to:

Use knowledge of Casualty Insurance and the insurance market to review clients exposures and loss experience and develop solutions for client individual needs.
Working closely with colleagues to deliver renewal and placement strategies
Negotiating with the Lloyds and London market insurers to deliver placement

Understand clients business strategic priorities, risk strategies and risk management needs and provides advice accordingly to successfully serve the client and develop any relevant products.

Work with the team to seek growth opportunities and subsequently win new business

Assist in presentations to prospective clients and suggest innovative solutions to clients and colleagues to gain new clients and projects.

Build and maintain relationships with clients and is the primary point of contact for day-to-day service needs.

What you need to have:

Casualty Insurance knowledge from a broker or underwriter background
Client and Market facing experience
Excellent communication skills both written (tenders, reports, presentations) and verbal (client meetings, colleague meetings and delivery of tenders and presentations)
Proven organisation abilities and able to multi-task

Diligence, accuracy and ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure
