Facility Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the preventive and predictive maintenance of all equipment to ensure smooth and continuous operation across three shifts, seven days a week.
Position Objective:
The Facility Maintenance Supervisor will possess strong leadership, technical expertise, and a results-oriented mindset to troubleshoot, repair, and improve processes related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, as well as the facilities of our production plants.Will possess strong leadership, technical expertise, and a results-oriented mindset to troubleshoot, repair, and improve processes related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, as well as the facilities of our production plants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Operations:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.
- Lead troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair activities for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the maintenance team across all shifts, ensuring alignment with company goals and safety standards.
- Coordinate training programs to enhance team skills in troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance best practices.
- Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate maintenance coverage across all three shifts.
- Facility Management:
- Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of all facilities, including production lines, utilities, and safety systems.
- Collaborate with the Production, Quality, and Safety teams to identify and address facility-related issues impacting operations.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety standards.
- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability while controlling costs.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Production team to address and resolve equipment-related challenges impacting output.
- Communicate maintenance updates, progress, and performance metrics to the Maintenance Manager and other stakeholders.
Job Qualifications/Skills/Essential Functions/Working Conditions:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage a maintenance team.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Must supply own tools.
- Must be able to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to push/pull/lift/ carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and access roof using all safety protocols.
- Must provide non-slip resistant, safety composite toe work shoes.
- Ability to stand 100% of the time
- Communicate and follow YouBar’s food safety commitment policy
- The role requires flexibility to address maintenance needs across three shifts, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
- Work may involve exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Must be able to lift, move, and handle heavy equipment or tools as required.
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to seafood, crustaceans, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, whey, sesame without incident
