Facility Maintenance Supervisor

Company Description: YouBar is a leading food manufacturing company dedicated to providing high-quality healthy food/snack products to our customers. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the preventive and predictive maintenance of all equipment to ensure smooth and continuous operation across three shifts, seven days a week.

Position Objective:

Will possess strong leadership, technical expertise, and a results-oriented mindset to troubleshoot, repair, and improve processes related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, as well as the facilities of our production plants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Operations:
• Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production efficiency.
• Lead troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair activities for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
• Team Leadership:
• Supervise and mentor the maintenance team across all shifts, ensuring alignment with company goals and safety standards.
• Coordinate training programs to enhance team skills in troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance best practices.
• Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate maintenance coverage across all three shifts.
• Facility Management:
• Ensure the proper maintenance and functionality of all facilities, including production lines, utilities, and safety systems.
• Collaborate with the Production, Quality, and Safety teams to identify and address facility-related issues impacting operations.
• Documentation and Compliance:
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company safety standards.
• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability while controlling costs.
• Communication and Collaboration:
• Collaborate with the Production team to address and resolve equipment-related challenges impacting output.
• Communicate maintenance updates, progress, and performance metrics to the Maintenance Manager and other stakeholders.

Job Qualifications/Skills/Essential Functions/Working Conditions:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage a maintenance team.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Must supply own tools.
• Must be able to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to push/pull/lift/ carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders and access roof using all safety protocols.
• Must provide non-slip resistant, safety composite toe work shoes.
• Ability to stand 100% of the time
• Communicate and follow YouBar’s food safety commitment policy
• The role requires flexibility to address maintenance needs across three shifts, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Work may involve exposure to manufacturing environments, including noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
• Must be able to lift, move, and handle heavy equipment or tools as required.
• Ability to work in an environment with exposure to seafood, crustaceans, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, milk, eggs, whey, sesame without incident
