Position Overview:
Join us in our fast-paced support to develop, advance, and sustain weapon systems for the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and its mission partners. You will be joining a team of personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments to meet current and projected strategic, operational, and tactical needs for the Department of Defense (DoD).QinetiQ is a mission-led innovation company that works with the USSF and DoD to design, develop, field, and maintain requirements essential to national security and the survivability of the warfighter.
We are seeking an Acquisition Contracting Specialist. The Acquisition Contracting Specialist is responsible for supporting the acquisition of highly classified ACAT-like space control systems. This will include all aspects of any contract action required by the program office, including but not limited to, solicitations, change proposals, funding modifications, and award or incentive fee management.The ideal candidate will expertise in Federal, DoD, Air Force, and Space Systems Command (SSC) contracting processes and procedures as well as have prior Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) and/or Buyer experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with source selection activities, including but not limited to, developing source selection documentation (e.g., source selection plan, acquisition strategy, non-disclosure agreements, etc.), and reviewing and drafting proposal evaluations.
- Provide contract and subcontract management support including assisting Government Contracting Officers and contract specialists in executing various contracting actions, to include advising on requests for proposals, technical evaluations, contract negotiation, contract administration, and contract execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Expertise in Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead all aspects of any contract action required by the program office, including but not limited to, solicitations, change proposals, funding modifications, and award or incentive fee management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify and solve problems.
- Bachelors Degree
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- TS/SCI Eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjob
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with the acquistion of highly classified ACAT-like space systems and/or components preferred
- Masters Degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience
