Baystate Dental is hiring a Dental Hygienist for our amazing team in Ludlow, MA 01056. This is a full-time position working Monday (9:00-6:00 or 8:00-5:00), and Tuesday-Thursday (8:00-5:00).

We have an incredible patient base, and a very strong clinical team willing to provide support to a new member of our team. Our doctors are very friendly and supportive and our entire office works very well together as a team.
At Baystate Dental, we utilize the most innovative techniques and technologies to ensure effectiveness, efficiency and comfort for our patients and hygienists. We're currently using digital x-rays, 3D Cone Beams, Biolase diode lasers, and we'll be adding Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), in the near future.Appointments are 1 hour to allow our hygienists plenty of time to educate and provide thorough, quality care to our patients.
Previous experience is great, but we also encourage new hygiene grads to apply as well. The Hygienist we hire must have an active Hygiene license for the state of MA. New hygiene grads must be applying for license soon. Local Anesthesia certification is preferred, but not required to be considered for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
- Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
- Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
- Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
- Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Active Hygiene license for the state of Massachusetts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
