Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of real estate financial transactions and a detail-oriented approach to accounting functions.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process cash draws for real estate projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with funding requirements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and financial statement preparation.
• Collaborate with property managers, lenders, and finance teams to support financial operations.
• Prepare reports and analyses related to property income, expenses, and cash flow.
• Support audit requests by gathering and organizing financial documentation.
• Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations.

Staff Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 0-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property accounting.
• Strong knowledge of cash draws, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel (Yardi, MRI, or similar real estate accounting systems is a plus).
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
