Summary of Position:

As a Plant Manager, you will manage a manufacturing operation, while playing a major role in planning, organizing, reviewing, and controlling the plant operation.

Responsibilities:

• Leads manufacturing facility, with primary focus on employee safety
• Directs production and ensures cost effectiveness and consistency with quality, continuous improvement and performance standards
• Communicates company values, strategies, and objectives, leading by example
• Assign accountabilities; plan, monitor, and appraise job results; develop incentives; develop a climate for offering information and opinions; provide educational opportunities
• Develop strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; present assumptions; recommend objectives
• Accomplish subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets and results measurements
• Build company image by collaborating with customer, government, community organizations, and employees
• Maintain plant property and equipment to ensure compliance with governmental regulations and to ensure effective and economical operations
• Prepare and submit operating reports to management to inform them of current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Select, train, develop, and motivate manufacturing staff to maintain plant operations. Ensure compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations
• Ensure safety of everyone in the facility
• Establish personal networks; benchmark state-of-the-art practices; participate in professional societies

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Advanced Degree preferred

Experience:

• Minimum five (5) to ten (10) years of leadership/management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience in the use of CI/lean implementation
• Experience in the building and construction industry
