Project Manager duties:
- Coordinates the completion of all tasks / deliverables for all phases of a project.
- Manages the project tightly to the six constraints of scope, schedule, cost, risk, resource and quality.
- Ensures consistent and diligent use of project methodology, tools, templates, repositories, and portfolio/project management tools by all project team members.
- Ensures the timely and accurate completion of business and technical project deliverables.
- Assesses project team resource knowledge & skills and facilitates necessary training to bridge gaps.
- Creates and maintains a detailed project schedule to include tasks, durations, resources assignments, percentage complete, and start / end dates, etc.
- Conducts project meetings; documents and distributes meetings agendas and meeting minutes, tracks accomplishments, key milestones, decisions, risk/issues, etc.
- Mitigates risk and resolves issues; escalates any critical risks / issues to the Project Sponsor or Steering Committee.
- Documents and distributes weekly project status reports to key stakeholders, project sponsor and project team members.
- Prepares Gate Approval Requests at each gate transition for review & approval by Project Sponsor and Steering Committee.
- Prepares Change Requests to record changes in scope, schedule and budget for review & approval by Project Sponsor and Steering Committee.

responsibilities:Project Manager required experience:
- strong acumen in business processes in a multiple functional areas in an organization in the Financial Services industry
- strong familiarity with project management concepts, interactions between knowledge areas and process groups, and inputs / tools and techniques / outputs in each knowledge area that explain how to approach project management and implement solutions
- strong knowledge of tools / technology for office productivity, project management, portfolio management and communications
- strong analytical thinking / problem solving and decision making skills
- Highly matured behavioral characteristics such as ethics, accountability, trustworthiness, organization / time management and flexibility / adaptability
- strong communication skills and interpersonal / interaction skills
- strong ability to build / lead teams, resolve conflicts and mentor / motivate team members
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, project management software, etc., is highly desired.
- 5+ years of experience; requires low level of supervision
- Experience in a financial services or highly-regulated environment is a plus.
Certification Requirements (not mandatory):
- PMI certification such as PMP
- ScrumAlliance certification such as A-CSM
- PMI certification such as Agile Certified Practitioner
