We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in Houston, Texas. The primary function of this role is to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial statements, reports, and disclosures for both internal and external purposes, including SEC reporting.

As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will be an integral part of our Finance team, working closely with other divisions and third-party advisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of financial statements, reports, and disclosures for SEC reporting and internal reporting to the executive team
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of all financial reporting with the SEC, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K, and other necessary SEC filings
  • Support the preparation and review of the quarterly earnings releases and related materials
  • Prepare detailed financial calculations and analyses to support financial statements and disclosures
  • Review financial and other information from various divisions for inclusion in SEC filings
  • Conduct research on accounting and reporting matters, assessing their impact on the financial statements
  • Engage in special projects, research, and analysis as required
  • Assist in the data gathering used in the preparation of income tax provision on a quarterly basis
  • Coordinate income tax provision and other income tax projects with an income tax advisor
  • Lead coordination with income tax advisor on annual corporate and partnership income tax filings
  • Assist in providing and gathering financial information to complete tax filings such as Schedule K-1
  • Liaise with third-party tax advisors on various tax issues, including sales tax filings and compliance, and property tax filings and compliance.
Working knowledge of SEC Reporting, Public Accounting Audit, and Workiva is essential in this role. • Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in SEC Reporting is mandatory for this role.
  • Prior experience in Public Accounting Audit is required.
  • Familiarity with Workiva software is a significant plus.
  • The candidate must possess strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent financial reporting abilities are essential.
  • Proven experience in financial forecasting and diagnosis is necessary.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field is required.
  • The candidate should have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other financial planning software is required.
  • Must have a strong understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team setting is crucial.
