Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MRI Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging MRT (New Mexico licensure) required.
- American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (MR) (ARRT)
- Or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist ARMRIT required.
- BLS Certification is required at the time of hire.
- Registered Technologist Trainees/Apprentices:
- PMRT (Provisional NM licensure) required.
- American Registry Radiologic Technologists R.T. (R) (ARRT) required.
- Successful completion of ARRT(MR) Boards within two years of hire.
Responsibilities:
- Instructs patients regarding magnetic resonance imaging procedures; prepares, positions, and manipulates patients to ensure appropriate placement for imaging.
- Select appropriate imaging techniques, and calibrate console and peripheral hardware, as required.
- Obtains images, produces film records and backups from desk to storage media, and transfers for desk to workstation.
- Inspects for quality and completeness of exam.
- Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and laser camera.
- Performs physical inventories and maintains clinical supplies.
- Provides instruction and guidance in magnetic resonance imaging procedures and equipment/facilities usage to staff and/or students in training.
- Ensures adherence to established PHS/PMG and department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety standards, HIPAA, and compliance regulations.
- May assist in research and/or clinical subject scheduling.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise.
