Manager, Production, 2nd Shift
Overview:
Manufactures sufficient quantities of quality products at or below budgeted production costs in order to meet demand | Follows established procedures for operating various manufacturing equipment | Sets up equipment feeding, speed and temperature for optimal performance | Selects and measures raw materials and parts to specifications to prepare for production processing | Resolves issues related to the organization's production, machinery, processing and/or packaging operations | Responsibilities are within the Manufacturing/Operations Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines
Major Position Responsibilities:
- Manages production operations for assigned units or during an assigned shift.
- Supervises workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control,
- Notifies maintenance or engineering departments when equipment requires maintenance or
- Monitors output of assigned area(s) against established schedules or quality goals. Coordinates
the flow of work through the department and ensures that department has sufficient levels of
inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriately.- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions
related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from the HR Directors &
General Managers.

- Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members. Does not typically perform the work supervised
- Must have any type of one direct report or more
Basic Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree and 5-7 years experience
Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/ or Experience
Preferred Education:Bachelor's Degree
Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or Business degree preferred
Skills:
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to work as part of a team. Decision-making skills. Problem/situation analysis. Project management skills. Planning skills.
