Surgical Technologist - First AssistantWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing operating rooms, ensuring that surgical equipment and instruments are properly sterilized, and assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.Description:Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, this position assists with surgical procedures under the guidance of surgeons, registered nurse(s), or additional O.R. personnel. The responsibilities of Surgical Technologist include (but are not limited to):Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including arranging equipment and supplies.Sterilize surgical instruments and ensure that they are properly stored.Assist surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies to surgeons.Monitor surgical equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly.Handle specimens and send them to the laboratory for analysis.Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician programOne (1) year surgical tech experience preferredLicense/Certification of DEBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification
