Responsibilities:
Overview
This position is one of the focal points of the restaurant – a person who is constantly moving and always on show with our guests. This person must be able to have conversations with our guests while at the same time, keeping the buffet clean, clutter-free, and organized.Attention to detail regarding safe hot and cold holding procedures, re-heating policies, and overall food handling skills are vital to this role.
What You’ll Be Doing- Consistently follow all safe food handling / hygiene standards of the hotel
- Work quickly in a fast paced, often hectic setting
- Communicate with everyone, especially our guests
- Work effectively with cooks and assistants, maintaining the cleanliness and stock of the buffet
- Maintain and utilize knowledge of all food items served in the restaurant, with particular attention to buffet items
- Look ahead and make decisions about when to stock the buffet and at what times to maximize its effectiveness with our guests
Qualifications:
What You Need for this Position- Morning availability
- Respect and support fellow team members
- Passionate about the guest experience
- TIPS certifiable
- Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
- Able to stoop and bend
- Occasionally able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
- Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
