Bookkeeper

We are looking for a diligent Bookkeeper to be part of our team. This role is situated in Atlanta, Georgia, and offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The position primarily involves accounting and administrative support tasks, with a strong emphasis on bookkeeping within the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out accounting work including bank reconciliations for less than 10 accounts and 2 banking accounts.
• Monitor and manage money market accounts, specifically focusing on interest.
• Handle 2 investment accounts using Journal Entries.
• Occasionally handle deposits and checks/ACH by certified mail.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as setting up and breaking down meeting spaces, coordinating with caterers, and moving binders.
• Take meeting minutes and help draft content for social media.
• Prepare meeting material packets and PDF documents.
• Utilize software such as Microsoft Windows 10, Word, Excel.
• Be available 3 days a week in the office, with the possibility of remote work for an additional day once comfortable.
• Manage check runs 1-2 days a month.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and bookkeeping
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Skills in bank reconciliations
• Proficient in data entry tasks
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience in handling month-end close processes
• Ability to manage payroll tasks
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
