Responsibilities:
The Office Manager is an onsite manager, responsible for supervising, directing, planning and coordinating the administrative activities of the office. The Office Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the assigned site and will communicate issues and concerns to the Practice Manager and/or Clinical Practice Manager.The Office Manager performs daily tasks, which encompass Patient Satisfaction, Quality of Care, Staff Development and Daily Operations.
Responsibilities include: Observe patient/staff interaction and provide feedback to staff, Address patient concerns that cannot be adequately addressed by the Staff, Interact with patients and their families as needed, assist providers with patient interaction issues, gather and report patient care concerns to the Clinical Manager and/or Practice Manager, present suggestions regarding improvement in patient care, ensure that each staff member is able to effectively manage patient concerns, assist in the implementation of changes in the system, review and address patient satisfaction concerns, and other patient satisfaction related responsibilities as directed by the Clinical and/or Practice Manager.
The Office Manager ensures that HIPAA, OSHA and Infection control guidelines are followed at each site and efficient patient care flow, including intake and discharge procedures are optimized. The appropriate scheduling of patients and maintenance of the provider schedule is vital for the operation along with identifying and correcting environmental issues which may affect patient care.The Manager is responsible for evaluating staff interactions and implementing corrective plans as needed.
Must maintain inventory of par medical and non-medical supplies, collection of co-payments, securing of cash and practice assets, ensuring timely submission of billing and coding, coordinate and/or distribute clinical and physician schedules and other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of 3 years of medical office experience required; management experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.A Valid Driver’s license or ability to travel within Westchester County required
