Pediatric Hematology Oncology Advanced Practice Provider - St. Joseph's Children's Hospital,Tampa, FL

Position Overview:

BayCare Medical Group is seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our busy Pediatric Hematology and Oncology practice located at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. This Advanced Practice Provider will work in conjunction with six physicians that specialize in pediatric hematology/oncology.
This full time position will be primarily inpatient assisting with consults, rounding on patients, and performing H&Ps on new admissions. Additional responsibilities will include lumbar punctures, administration of chemotherapy and bone marrow aspirates and biopsies.

Occasional help in the clinic may be needed. Candidates must have experience in pediatrics and preferably in the hematology and oncology specialty. Call responsibilities will include phone call from home one week night/week and one weekend approximately every 5 - 6 weeks.

Qualifications:

Position requires: Florida licensure and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant board certification. Experience in pediatrics is required. Experience in pediatric hematology/oncology is preferred.
