Assistant Cook- Henderson

**LOCATION: Las Vegas- Henderson**

**SALARY:**

**$15.00/hr**

**SUMMARY**: **World of Wings is looking for an Assistant Cook to join our team.**

• **Valid Food Handlers certification;**

• **One- year experience in foodservice**
• **Strong attention to detail;**
• **High school diploma or equivalent, plus ability to read, follow instructions and lift up to fifty pounds;**

• **Stock and maintain designated food station(s);**
• **Operates ovens, stoves, steam tables and other kitchen equipment as required;**
• **Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner;**
• **Prepares food to be served at certain times and temperatures;**
• **Follows recipes and prepares meals as directed;**
• **Act as the subject matter expert in the dietary department / kitchen- may oversee and train others engaged in food preparation activities;**
• **Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff;**
• **Chop vegetables, prepare sauces and other food preparation;**
• **Demonstrate a conscientious attitude in daily operations through portion control and eliminating waste;**
• **Follow procedures and guidelines in food cooling, hot food holding and prevention of cross contamination;**
• **Clean up station and take care of leftover food;**
• **Ability to modify a recipe to meet the needs of restricted diets or numbers to be served;**
• **Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.**
• **Dish area cleanliness and trash removal;**
