Freelance Designer, Women's

The Freelance Designer, Women’s will directly report to the Design Director, Women’s.
Responsibilities:
- Design seasonal collection of woven categories for the Women’s Mainline and Outlet Divisions.
- Must have a strong sense of fashion with the ability to design classic, polished apparel with a modern and at time preppy twist.Collaborate with the Director and team to create impactful seasonal presentations by classification and special projects.
- Expertise in fabric and trim development.Proficient in PLM and Adobe Creative/Illustrator to create design packages.Organized and efficient to manage workflow and follow up of design responsibilities.
- Maintain follow up on design development, including Lab dips and strike-offs.Work closely with the Director and the Merchandising team to design into the needs of the product map.
- Participate in fittings with production and technical design team.Shop the marketplace for new development and fashion inspiration.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Merchandising, Product Development, and Technical Design.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion design.
- Minimum 5 years designing women’s separate categories.
- Proficient in PLM and in Adobe Creative Suite/ Illustrator.
- Organized and efficient team player with the ability to multi-task.
The salary range for this position is $45-$50 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
