Front Office Coordinator - Atlanta
Overview:
The Front Office Coordinator works as part of a team fulfilling administrative responsibilities while advocating on behalf of patients. Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and creating a welcoming environment is critical. This pivotal role manages the flow of patients and communications within the office.This is a clinic-based position located in the Midtown area of Atlanta, GA (2140 Peachtree Road). General work hours are Mon-Fri: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
About the Role:
- Creates a welcoming environment by greeting patients and visitors
- Manages patient check-in and check-out processes
- Scheduling appointments for multiple providers
- Process insurance verifications (utilizing Waystar and other payer sites as needed).
- Explain and thoroughly communicates insurance benefits to patients
- Assess/updates patient demographics and insurance information as needed
- Handles inquiries regarding patient financial concerns
- Additional responsibilities assigned as needed
About You:
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate's degree or higher preferred, especially in a health-related field
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
- Two years' experience in a healthcare environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Maintains a high level of patient confidentiality
- Demonstrates attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- MS Office computer skills with the ability to type 30+ wpm
- Ability to adapt to EMR functionality
- Experience in eClinical Works strongly preferred.
