Medical Billing Specialist

We are looking for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in Chicopee, Massachusetts. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where you will be primarily responsible for medical billing, insurance verification, and managing accounts receivable.

Responsibilities:

• Execute and manage all aspects of medical billing functions.
• Verify insurance coverage for patients and ensure all necessary paperwork is complete.
• Follow up on payments and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Provide primary care billing services, ensuring all charges are accurately captured.
• Maintain and manage accounts receivable, ensuring all payments are processed and recorded accurately.
• Administer claims and manage the appeals process.
• Use your skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Billing Functions, and Claim Administration to ensure smooth operation of the billing process.
• Possess proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in Appeals and Billing Functions
• Proficient in Claim Administration
• Deep knowledge and experience in Medical Billing
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
• Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Comfortable with working in a team environment
• Prior experience in a medical setting or healthcare environment would be advantageous.
