We are offering an exciting opportunity in Lincoln, Rhode Island, for a Collections Specialist. This role requires the management of customer accounts, handling of customer inquiries, and processing of customer applications.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently processing customer credit applications
• Keeping customer credit records up to date and accurate
• Monitoring assigned accounts to identify outstanding accounts receivable balances
• Communicating with clients to recover missed payments and outstanding debt
• Updating account status records and maintaining notes regarding customer communications
• Researching and resolving disputes through collaboration with other departments
• Tracking due dates and promised payments, and sending reminders as necessary
• Responding to customer queries about their statements or invoices
• Analyzing billing and payment history to proactively engage with clients
• Encouraging on-time payments through appropriate actions
• Negotiating payment plans with customers as needed
• Reporting on aged balances, collection activities, and progress made in the portfolio
• Timely processing of payments and refunds
• Ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies
• Maintaining confidentiality in all matters.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Familiarity with Accurint is essential.
• Must have experience with CRM systems.
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Capable of effectively answering inbound calls.
• Experience with Billing Functions is needed.
• Knowledge of Collection Processes is required.
