Responsibilities:
Role Expectations and Competencies
As a General Construction Foreman you may perform any combination of tasks to assist on a wide variety of construction sites. This position performs a wide variety of duties and tasks that often require them to assist other.- Completes all tasks with a high attention to detail.

- Communicate and work with team members to coordinate tasks and maintain a productive work environment.

- Coordinate with Construction Superintendent daily on schedule, manpower requirements, equipment requirements, trucking needs, and materials.
- Delegate daily activities with crew members to facilitate a safe, efficient, and productive work day.
- Verify all equipment is properly cared for, all field preventive maintenance is completed, and equipment is operated in its intended manner.
- Complete daily time keeping records for crew and log all necessary pictures and documentation of project on company supplied tablet and phone.
- Have a thorough understanding of multiple work types, including but not limited to, concrete curb, sidewalk and exterior slabs, removal and replacement, excavation and grading, ADA compliance, storm water drainage installation, new concrete installation, and asphalt installation.
- Able to read, understand and follow, civil construction site plans and details.
- Competency in compaction of different material such as fill dirt, and multiple types of aggregate.
- Ability to communicate clearly with vendors for ordering materials, and supplies as needed.
- Understanding the proper use of multiple pieces of heavy equipment and a wide range of power, hand and gas-powered tool.
- Upon completion of day, ensure site is secured if needed and properly cleaned and left in a proper state.
- Direct traffic near construction sites when necessary to ensure the safety of workers and the public, including set up and maintenance of cones, barricades and safety fencing.
- Strong commitment to attendance and punctuality a must.

Qualifications And Requirements- Experience in Civil Construction or a related field 10+ years’ experience.
- OSHA 10 certification required OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to walk, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, sit, climb, work in challenging environments and on uneven surfaces, and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to remain alert and see, hear, and respond to team members and the surrounding environment in highly safety sensitive working conditions and near large heavy civil equipment and/or live traffic.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass Company pre-employment drug screen.
