Accounts Payable Specialist

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will manage the accounts payable process, maintain vendor relationships, and support month-end close activities.
You will also process a high volume of invoices in compliance with company policies and vendor terms.
Responsibilities:- Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices
- Enter invoices into Sage Intacct accurately, ensuring proper account classification and prompt payment processing
- Conduct regular account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and align with general ledger accounts
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring timely payments
- Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers according to established schedules
- Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company policies
- Provide support for internal and external audits, including documentation and reconciliation of transactions
- Collaborate with the accounting team to identify opportunities for process efficiencies, system enhancements, and best practices
- Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparation of journal entries related to accounts payable. • Proficiency in Account Coding
- Mastery of Accounting Software Systems
- Experience with ADP - Financial Services
- Familiarity with Concur
- Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
- Ability to perform Accounting Functions
- Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
- Understanding of Accrual Accounting principles
- Proven skills in Auditing
- Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
- Proficient in using Sage Intacct software
