Mechanical Engineer, CATIA V5

The Product Engineer focuses on designing and developing new or existing products, components, or assemblies including:

• Supporting the local production site and be the connection between production site and product development and vice versa in product/design related questions/issues.
• Establishing mock-up/pilots/test assemblies and coordinate the product change implementation on site.
• Coordinating process and product changes between mother plant and receiving plant.
• Applying engineering principles to develop products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements
• Conducting mathematical modelling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible
• Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes
• May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment.
• Lead level is a specialist in Product Engineering typically obtained through education and work experience.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Managing large projects or (end to end) processes with limited oversight from manager.
• Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals.
• Problems faced are difficult and often complex.

• 5 years or more relevant experience indesigning and developing products
• CATIA V5 / CREO or similar CAD knowledge
