The ideal candidate will have project management experience supporting federal clients, particularly in the areas of information technology, Agile methodologies, and project documentation.
You will have demonstrated your ability to analyze and apply critical thinking to a wide variety of technical and organizational challenges. Partnering with your customers, you will identify and implement successful solutions that address their most pressing challenges, from project planning to successful completion.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering quality services to our clients, mentoring junior staff, and expanding work under existing contracts.

We are currently looking for a Project Manager who will:

  • Advise senior management (e.g., Chief Information Officer [CIO]) on project progress, risks, and the alignment of IT strategies with organizational objectives. Provide insight into cost/benefit analysis of IT solutions, systems integration, and application delivery.
  • Lead functional and connectivity testing of IT systems to ensure continued operability and seamless integration of new technical solutions.
  • Establish project management strategies that address risk tolerance, project timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects within defined scope and budget.
  • Document and evaluate project requirements to ensure compliance with funding, legal, and program specifications, ensuring adherence to government policies and standards.
  • Interpret and apply industry regulations, policies, and standards to technical and operational issues, ensuring IT project execution aligns with government and agency guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed project status reports and updates, identifying technical challenges, risks, and procedural findings. Provide recommended solutions and communicate these findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Manage technical documentation efforts, ensuring clear and concise technical specifications, project plans, and communication of complex information to various audiences.

Additionally, the ideal candidate can:

  • Develop project management policies and strategies that align with the organization's broader IT objectives and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor agreements, ensuring the delivery of IT services aligns with project objectives and organizational expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of management, including board members and senior executives, tailoring language and technical content to suit the audience's level of understanding.
  • Develop and maintain clear project directions, instructional materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, laws, regulations, and standards across all project activities, especially in support of public sector initiatives.
  • Tailor technical information to the customer's level of understanding, ensuring clarity and precision in communication with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Monitor advancements in IT project management best practices and technological trends, ensuring the organization remains adaptable and compliant with the latest developments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, particularly with federal government or public sector clients.
  • Strong experience with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • 3+ years of leadership and project management responsibilities in IT systems, cloud services, or system integrations.
  • Ability to work independently, operate proactively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, logical thinker with an intellectual curiosity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Agile Certification.
